British Thermal Unit (BTU)means the standard unit of measurement used to measure heat energy and to convert CCFs to Therms. It is the amount of heat required to increase the temperature of a pint of water (which weighs exactly 16 ounces) by one degree Fahrenheit.
CCFmeans the amount of natural gas used presented in a unit of measurement applicable to natural gas (i.e. hundreds of cubic feet). CCFs used is calculated by subtracting the beginning read from the ending read.
CCFs usedmeans the amount of natural gas used presented in a unit of measurement applicable to natural gas (i.e. hundreds of cubic feet). CCFs used is calculated by subtracting the beginning read from the ending read.
Cubic foot (CF)means the most common measurement of gas volume. One cubic foot is equal to the amount of natural gas required to fill one cubic foot under standard temperature and pressure. One cubic foot is approximately 1,025 British Thermal Units (BTUs). 100 Cubic Feet = 1 CCF.
MCFs usedmeans the amount of natural gas used pressed in a unit of measurement applicable to natural gas (i.e. thousands of cubic feet). MCFs used is calculated by subtracting the beginning read from the ending read.
Natural gasmeans the energy fuel is a mixture of naturally occurring combustible gases found underground and is widely used for heating and cooking, as well as for a variety of industrial applications.
