The Township Clerk is hereby delegated authority to issue bingo
and raffle licenses, without first receiving approval of the Township
Committee, to duly qualified organizations as specified under applicable
bingo and raffle licensing laws. After issuance of such licenses,
the Township Administrator and Township Committee shall receive a
monthly report of the same from the Township Clerk.
The Township Clerk shall apply the standards set forth in the
Bingo Licensing Law, N.J.S.A. 5:8-24 to 5:8-49.11 et seq., and the
Raffle Licensing Law, N.J.S.A. 5:8-50 to 5:8-77 et seq., as applicable,
when reviewing license applications.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances which are inconsistent
with the provisions of this article are, to the extent of such inconsistency,
hereby repealed. All portions of the ordinance not modified herein
remain in full force and effect.
Should any section, clause, sentence, phrase or provision of
this article be declared unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect
the remaining portions of this article.
This article shall take effect upon final passage, adoption
and publication in the manner prescribed by law.
