The International Existing Building Code, 2021 edition, and amendments are herewith adopted by reference. A copy of this code with approved amendments hereinafter set out shall be kept on file in the office of the building inspection division for reference and inspection.

Any requirements considered necessary for the safety, strength or stability of any existing or proposed building or structure, or for the safety or health of the occupants thereof, which varies from the provisions of the 2021 International Existing Building, or any amendments, specifications or revisions thereto, shall be interpreted and determined by the building official, subject to the right of appeal contained in any of such codes, if any.
