Notwithstanding the provisions of § 24 of the Town Law, the term of office of the Town Tax Collector of the Town of Cambria, elected at the election in November 2001, and of all Town Tax Collectors in the Town of Cambria elected thereafter, shall be four years.

This article shall be subject to a mandatory referendum and shall take effect, subject to compliance with the provisions of § 23, Subdivision 1, of the Municipal Home Rule Law when filed in the Office of the Secretary of State, pursuant to § 27 of such law.[1]
