Pursuant to §§ 60.10(2)(c), 62.23, 61.35, and 60.22(3), Wis. Stats., the Town of Whitewater is authorized to prepare, adopt and amend a comprehensive plan, as defined in §§ 66.1001(1)(a) and 66.1001(2), Wis. Stats.
The Town Board, by the enactment of an ordinance, formally adopted the document titled "A Multi-Jurisdictional Comprehensive Plan for Walworth County: 2035" as the Town Comprehensive Plan on September 2, 2009, as Ordinance No. 090209 of the Town Code of Ordinances.
The Whitewater Town Board, by a majority vote of the entire Town Board at a meeting held on January 9, 2019, adopted a resolution approving the amendment and recommending adoption of "A Multi-Jurisdictional Comprehensive Plan Update for Walworth County by the Town" as the ten-year update to the Town Comprehensive Plan required by § 66.1001(2)(i), Wis. Stats.
The Town Board of the Town of Whitewater has elected to dispense with the creation of a town plan commission and to carry out the functions of the plan commission.
The Town Board hereby adopts this ordinance, adopting a Multi-Jurisdictional Comprehensive Plan Update for Walworth County amendment, as the ten-year update to the Town of Whitewater Comprehensive Plan.
The Town Clerk is directed to send a copy of the plan update to the parties listed in § 66.1001(4)(b), Wis. Stats.
This chapter shall take effect upon passage by a majority vote of the full membership of the Town Board and publication or posting as required by law.
