One copy of the code of rules and regulations known as the Uniform
Housing Code, 1997 Edition, prepared and published by the International
Conference of Building Officials, having been filed in the office
of the clerk of the city, the same is designated and adopted by reference
as the housing code for the city.

It shall be the duty of the building official to enforce the
provisions of the Uniform Housing Code and to determine the intent
and meaning thereof.
