Any landlord who shall violate any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not exceeding $500 for each offense as may be issued through the Municipal Court of the Township of Gloucester, the Superior Court of New Jersey or other courts of competent jurisdiction.

It is the intent and purpose of this article to adopt for enforcement by and through the Township of Gloucester, the provisions of N.J.S.A. 46:8-28 and as may be amended from time to time, providing for and mandating that every landlord within the jurisdiction of the Township of Gloucester shall comply with the provisions of landlord registration by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Gloucester information provided for in N.J.S.A. 46:8-28.
