The city clerk, upon the entry to his or her duties of office, shall execute a bond to the city in conformity with bonds of public officers, and in conformity with the provisions of the Government Code of the state relating thereto, in the amount of $25,000.

A contract between the city council and the Board of Administration, California State Employees' Retirement System, is authorized, a copy of such contract being attached to Ordinance No. 269, on file in the office of the city clerk, such contract being marked "Exhibit A," and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. The mayor is authorized, empowered and directed to execute such contract for and on behalf of such agency.
