The driver of any vehicle upon approaching the entrance of any one or two-way stop intersection set forth in the traffic control regulations document and posted with a stop sign shall stop:
(a) 
At a limit line, if marked, otherwise before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection, or, if not marked, then before entering the intersection; or
(b) 
At any point within the intersection as required by a stop sign; and after such stop the driver shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles on that part of any street protected by any stop sign which are so close as to constitute an immediate hazard and shall continue to yield the right-of-way to such approaching vehicles until such time as he can proceed with reasonable safety. A driver, having yielded, may proceed and the drivers of all other vehicles approaching on that part of the street protected by the stop sign shall yield the right-of-way to the vehicle about to enter or cross the protected part of the intersection.

The driver of any vehicle upon approaching any entrance of any multi-way stop intersection posted with a stop sign shall stop:
(a) 
At a limit line, if marked, otherwise before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection, or, if not marked, then before entering the intersection; or
(b) 
At any point within the intersection as required by a stop sign; and after such stop the driver shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles on that part of any street protected by any stop sign which are so close as to constitute an immediate hazard and shall continue to yield the right-of-way to such approaching vehicles until such time as he can proceed with reasonable safety. (a) 
The driver of any vehicle upon approaching the entrance to any intersection set forth in the traffic control regulations document as a yield intersection and posted with a yield sign shall not enter such intersection at a speed exceeding fifteen miles per hour and shall slow down and stop if necessary and yield the right-of-way to other vehicles which have entered the intersection from an intersecting street or which are approaching so closely on the intersecting street as to constitute an immediate hazard. A driver shall continue to yield the right-of-way to such approaching vehicles until such time as the driver can proceed with reasonable safety.
(b) 
A driver, having yielded, may then proceed and the drivers of all other vehicles approaching the intersection on the intersecting street shall yield the right-of-way.
