(a) 
A letter of acceptance is required from the town before any improvement will be considered complete.
(b) 
No acceptance will be given on any work covered before the official representing the town has inspected the work.
(c) 
A minimum of twenty-four hours advance notice must be given before the designated town official is expected at the jobsite. Any work or improvements covered before inspections must be uncovered.

Where strict compliance with the standards of design or the required improvements specified in this chapter would cause unnecessary hardship because of topographical or other conditions peculiar to the site or adjacent area, the commission may recommend, and the town council may approve, a variance. All variances must be approved in writing and the reason for which the variance was granted shall be stated therein.

After April 2, 2003, no permanent building or structure shall be erected within the extended street lines of proposed extensions of major streets shown on the thoroughfare plan adopted as part of the official plan of town.

The town shall appoint an enforcement officer/or town official to enforce the provisions hereof. The enforcing town officer/official may call upon any department or official of the town to furnish him with such information and assistance as he may deem necessary for the observance or enforcement of this chapter and it shall be the duty of such department or official to furnish such information and assistance whenever requested.
