"Lot" means a parcel of land under one ownership
or capable of being used under the regulations of this title and the
zoning ordinances of the City.

"Map Act" means the Subdivision Map Act of the State
of California, Government Code Section 66410 et seq.

"Owner" is the individual, firm, association, syndicate,
copartnership, or corporation having sufficient proprietary interest
in the land sought to be subdivided to commence and maintain proceedings
to subdivide the same under this title and State law.

The definitions and meanings of the following words and phrases
as contained in the Map Act and amendments thereto are adopted as
definitions and meanings of these words and phrases in this title:
advisory agency, design, final map, improvement, parcel map, subdivider,
subdivision, and tentative map.
