A. 
The numbering of buildings in the city shall commence with the number "one hundred," beginning at the east and west street line of Euclid Street (formerly Hiatt Street) respectively, and at the north and south street line of La Habra Boulevard (formerly Central Avenue) respectively; to each block is allotted one hundred numbers, the consecutive even numbers of which are assigned to and shall be used on the east and south sides of the streets, and the consecutive odd numbers are assigned to and shall be used on the west and north sides of the streets.
B. 
A "block" for the purpose of such numbering, shall be the space between two open streets as determined by either side of the base streets.
C. 
One number shall be allowed to each twenty-five feet of frontage on any street or high-way, and whenever in the space allowed to a number, as aforesaid, there shall be a hallway or tenement fronting on such street, such hallway or tenement shall be given an additional half number. It shall be the duty of the building official to assign to the owner, agent or occupant of any building in the city, the proper number; and all buildings shall be numbered in accordance with the provisions of the ordinance codified in this chapter, within ninety days from and after its passage. All buildings hereafter erected shall be numbered within thirty days from the time of their completion.
