(A)
All Animal Control Officers shall enforce all of the provisions of Title 7 of the Santa Rosa City Code; and all State laws relating to the care, control and treatment of animals.
(B)
If an Animal Control Officer has reasonable cause to believe that any person has violated any of the provisions set forth in subsection (A) of this section, the Officer may issue a citation to such person to appear in court to answer such charge.
(C)
Any Animal Control Officer may seize, impound and humanely destroy any animal when authorized to do so by Title 7 of the Santa Rosa City Code, or the laws of this State relating to the care, control and treatment of animals.
(D)
Upon satisfactory completion of firearms training approved by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, and with the approval of the Poundmaster, Animal Control Officers may possess and use firearms in the performance of their duties.
