Except as otherwise provided in Chapters 1.24 and 1.28 of this title, any person who violates any of the provisions of this code or who fails to comply with any regulatory requirements of this code is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction is punishable by a fine not exceeding $1,000.00 or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding six months, or by both.

A. 
Notwithstanding Section 1.12.010 of this chapter, any person who violates a provision of this code designated in this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction, punishable by:
1. 
A fine not exceeding $100.00 for the first violation;
2. 
A fine not exceeding $200.00 for a second violation of the same ordinance within one year;
3. 
A fine not exceeding $500.00 for the third violation of the same ordinance within one year.
Any person who violates the same ordinance more than three times in any 12-month period shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
B.

Chapter 11.16, traffic control devices and regulations relating to vehicular and pedestrian movement.

Chapter 11.36, stopping, standing and parking of vehicles.
15. 
Chapter 11.38, residential permit parking zone.

Chapter 11.48, commercial vehicle regulations.

Chapter 11.52, bicycles.

Each day that a violation of this code continues shall constitute a separate violation; provided, that this period shall be increased to the extent that more than one day is reasonably required for correction of the violation.
