The recreational park and organizational camp rules adopted
by OAR 918-650-0000 through 918-650-0080, except as modified by this
chapter, are hereby adopted as part of the Lake Oswego Building Code.

1.
All
buildings or structures regulated by the Lake Oswego Building Code
which are structurally unsafe or not provided with adequate egress,
or which constitute a fire hazard, or are otherwise dangerous to human
life are hereby declared unsafe. Any use of buildings or structures
constituting a hazard to safety, health or public welfare by reason
of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, obsolescence, fire hazard,
disaster, damage or abandonment is hereby declared an unsafe use.
Parapet walls, cornices, spires, towers, tanks, statuary and other
appendages or structural members which are supported by, attached
to, or a part of a building and which are in deteriorated condition
or otherwise unable to sustain the design loads which are specified
in the Lake Oswego Building Code are hereby declared unsafe building
appendages.
2.
All such unsafe buildings, structures or appendages are hereby declared to be public nuisances and shall be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Dangerous Buildings Code adopted pursuant to LOC § 45.09.065 or such alternate procedures as may have been or as may be adopted by this jurisdiction. As an alternative, the Building Official, or another employee or official of this jurisdiction as designated by the governing body, may institute any other appropriate action to prevent, restrain, correct or abate the violation.

Utility service facilities shall be located underground in conjunction with construction of all new structures subject to this Code that require utility service. The City may require undergrounding of utility service facilities for other structures when subject to development review approval under LOC Chapter 50.
