Whenever any of the following terms or phrases are used in the California Fire Code (CFC), each such term or phrase shall be deemed and construed to have the meaning ascribed to it in this chapter:
"Jurisdiction"
means the city of Buellton.
"Chief" or "fire chief"
means the fire chief of the county of Santa Barbara.
"Building department"
means the county of Santa Barbara building and safety division.
"California Building Code" and "building code"
mean the building code as adopted by the city.

Pursuant to Government Code Sections 51178 and 51179, The 2025 Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map for the city of Buellton, as designated by the State Fire Marshal, is adopted and incorporated herein by reference.
