Each residential or commercial building facing any street or avenue within the City shall bear numerical identification in accordance with Section 15.52.080(B)(1) of this code for residential buildings, or Section 15.52.090(J) of this code for commercial buildings.

The numbers around the Plaza Square shall commence in the northeast corner and proceed south to the southeast corner; thence west to the southwest corner; thence north to the northwest corner; thence east to the place of beginning, using as many of the numbers from one to 100 inclusive as may be necessary. The sections on the avenues shall be numbered east and west from Glassell Street, giving as many numbers from 101 to 200 inclusive as may be necessary to the sections in the first block, east and west, and an additional 100 numbers to each additional block until all the blocks east and west have been numbered in the City. The sections on streets shall be numbered north and south from Chapman Avenue in the same manner as that prescribed for avenues. In assigning numbers to the sections, the odd numbers shall be placed on the north side of avenues and the east side of streets, and the even numbers shall be placed on the south side of the avenues and the west side of streets.

The Street Superintendent, when instructed to do so by the Council, shall place, or cause to be placed, the name of each avenue and street at or near the northeast corner of the intersection, facing the street of which it is the name; east and west streets shall be named avenues; north and south streets shall be named streets. The word "east" shall precede and become a part of the name of each avenue east of Glassell Street, and the word "west" shall precede and become a part of the name of each avenue, west of said street; the word "north" shall precede and become a part of the name of each street north of Chapman Avenue, and the word "south" shall precede and become a part of the name of each street south of said avenue.
