A.
It is unlawful for any person to ride a bicycle, skateboard or roller skate upon any sidewalk named as follows:
1.
First Street from Chestnut Street to Maple Street on both sides;
2.
Second Street from Oak Street to Pine Street on the west side;
3.
Chestnut Street from Brentwood Boulevard to First Street on both sides;
4.
Oak Street from Brentwood Boulevard to Second Street on both sides;
5.
Maple Street from Brentwood Boulevard to the west side of Second Street;
6.
Oak Street from Second Street to the end on the south side.
B.
It is unlawful for any person to ride a bicycle, skateboard, or to roller skate upon any public or private property without the consent of the owner or operator when a sign or signs indicating that such skateboarding, bicycling, or roller skating is prohibited pursuant to the provisions of this section is posted on the property in a conspicuous manner. Posting of private property will be in compliance with city specifications and at the expense of the private property owner.
C.
The city engineer is authorized to post or cause to be posted signs prohibiting bicycling, skateboarding or roller skating in the areas noted in this section or on other public property.
D.
It is unlawful for anyone to skateboard or roller skate on any public street in a manner that would create a hazard to themselves, any pedestrian, bicyclist, motorist or to impede motor vehicle traffic.
