Except as it is hereinafter amended, Ordinance No. 3597 of the county entitled "Highway Permit Ordinance," as amended, effective June 23, 1967, is adopted as the city Highway Permit Ordinance and may be cited as such.
Three copies of county Ordinance No. 3597, as amended, effective June 23, 1967, are on deposit in the office of the city clerk and shall be at all times maintained by the city clerk for use and examination by the public. Reference to section numbers and amendments of the city Highway Permit Ordinance are declared to be references to the section numbers contained in Ordinance No. 3597, as amended, of the county.

The following amendments, additions and deletions are made to the county ordinance adopted by this chapter:
A. 
Section 304 is amended to read as follows:
"Section 304. The issuance fee shall be established by order of the Board of Supervisors. The fee shall not exceed the amount determined by the Board of Supervisors to be sufficient to defray the cost of handling by the County. In the absence of any such order the issuance fee shall be three dollars and fifty cents.
B. 
Section 308 is deleted.
C. 
Section 313 is amended to read as follows:
"Section 313. The Commissioner's costs of repairing and restoring the highway surface may be charged to a permittee on the square-foot-thickness method or on an actual cost basis.
"Under the square-foot-thickness method the charge shall be computed as follows: The square feet of surface repaired, multiplied by the number of inches of depth plus one inch, multiplied by the rate set by order of the Board of Supervisors. In the absence of such an order the rate shall be forty cents and the cost in any case shall be presumed to be not less than $5.00."
D. 
Section 404 and subsection (b) of Section 403 are deleted.
