Except as otherwise amended in this chapter, the Uniform Housing
Code, 1997 Edition, published and prepared by the International Conference
of Building Officials, is adopted as the San Dimas Housing Code and
may be cited as such.
Each and all of the regulations, provisions, terms and conditions
of such Uniform Housing Code are referred to and made a part hereof
as if fully set out in this chapter.
Three copies of such code are on file in the office of the building
official, and shall at all times be maintained by the city clerk for
the use and examination of the public. References to section numbers
and amendments are declared to be references to section numbers contained
in such Uniform Housing Code.

No person, firm or corporation, whether as owner, lessee, sublessee
or occupant, shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move,
improve, remove, demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building
or premises, or cause or permit the same to be done contrary to or
in violation of any of the provisions of said code or any order issued
by the building official or housing advisory and appeals board under
this chapter. Any person violating the provisions of this section
is guilty of a misdemeanor or infraction for each day such violation
continues.
