1) 
This policy shall establish orientation for newly elected or appointed members to the Stockton City Council.
2) 
It shall be policy that each new Councilmember within 60 days after the election or appointment attend the City Manager's Orientation Seminar.
3) 
It shall be the City Manager's responsibility to inform the newly elected/appointed City Councilmember(s) of the City's Orientation Seminar.
4) 
The City Manager shall provide the Councilmember(s) with an itinerary outlining the program for the Orientation Seminar.
City Manager: Conduct City's Orientation Seminar for new Councilmembers within 60 days of election or appointment. Prepare an itinerary of the Orientation Seminar and provide it to Councilmembers.
City Councilmembers: Participate in City's Orientation Seminar within 60 days of election or appointment.
