This Schedule of Board of Health Fees contains fees established
by the City of Summit Board of Health that are included in the Revised
General Ordinances of the City of Summit. Consult the corresponding
Board of Health chapters for historical information.
A. Annual license fees for dogs and cats. (§

(1) Unneutered
dog or cat: $21.
(2) Neutered
dog or cat: $15.
B. Delinquent fee for failure to obtain a license within the prescribed time period: $10 per pet. (§

C. Loss of license. Duplicate license and/or registration tag: $10. (§

The annual license fee for food and beverage vending machines shall be $75 per machine. (§
BH:3-4)
The annual license fee to sell or deliver milk, milk products or fluid milk products is $5 (per N.J.S.A. 24:10-57.10). (§

event (up to 24 hours): $75.
(2) Annual
temporary event: $300.
B. Reinspection fees for retail food establishments. Fees for reinspection of any retail food establishment receiving a posting of conditional satisfactory or unsatisfactory shall be as follows: (§

(first conditional or unsatisfactory posting);
(2) $250
(second conditional or unsatisfactory posting);
(3) $500
and mandatory Board hearing (third consecutive conditional or unsatisfactory
posting).
C. Late fee. Food licenses expire annually on the 31st day of December of each year. A late fee of $50 per month shall be assessed for each month or portion thereof a license is renewed after January 31. (§

A permit is required to keep livestock such as goats, rabbits, sheep, swine, horses and cattle. The annual permit fee is $50. (§

The license fee for a scavenger, to clean or empty any cesspool, septic tank, privy vault or other receptacle constructed for human excrement, is $175. (§

The fee for a permit to remove exterior lead base paint shall be $15 per structure. (§
BH:7-2)
The annual license fee for an electronic smoking device establishment is $500. (§
