Terms of commission members shall be four years. Upon expiration of a member's term, the member shall, however, continue to serve until his or her replacement is appointed in accordance with Section
2.20.030. Upon the expiration of the first term of any member, the mayor with the approval of a majority of the members of the council may reappoint such member; however, in no event shall any one member serve more than two consecutive terms on any one commission, exclusive of appointments to fill unexpired terms.
No individual, having served the maximum allowable number of terms, on a commission, may be reappointed to that commission, for at least one year from the last date served.
No individual may serve on more than one commission at any one time. This shall not preclude any member of a commission from also serving on a special ad hoc committee established by the city council for a specific purpose.
Members serve at the pleasure of the city council and may be removed for cause or no-cause. Members may be removed by the city council for cause for various reasons, including three consecutive absences or a member attends less than 30% of the meetings held over a 12 month period, unless extenuating circumstances apply and are noted for the record.
