The purpose of this chapter is to authorize motor vehicle parking upon the median strips of certain city streets pursuant to Vehicle Code Section 22503, in conjunction with other street and traffic control improvements in order to enhance the safety of travel on said streets.

When street improvements and traffic signs are in place giving notice thereof, median strip parking of motor vehicles is authorized on the following streets or portions thereof:
Gould Avenue, north of Knight Way, to a point 440 feet down from the center of the intersection of Gould Avenue and Knight Way.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, no motor vehicle shall be parked upon any median strip parking area designate day this section between the hours of two a.m. and six a.m.
