The 2022 California Existing Building Code, California Code
of Regulations, Title 24, a portion of the California Building Standards
Code, is adopted in its entirety and incorporated by this reference
as the existing building code. The following appendices of the existing
building code are included in the adoption: Appendix A (Guidelines
for the Seismic Retrofit of Existing Buildings) and B (Supplementary
Accessibility Requirements for Existing Buildings and Facilities).
The following sections, chapters, or appendices are deleted: Section
103 et seq. through Section 114 et seq.; and Appendices C and D.
The provisions of this code that are adopted by the city shall
apply to all existing buildings and structures for which a legal building
permit has been issued, including, but not limited to, any appurtenances
connected or attached to such buildings or structures.
