The California Electrical Code, 2025 Edition, is hereby adopted as Chapter 15.28 of Title 15 of this code, with amendments and additions as set forth in this chapter.
A. 
The city council of the city of Pico Rivera hereby adopts the 2025 Edition of the California Electrical Code, Part 3 based on the 2023 Edition of the National Electrical Code, as published by the National Fire Protection Association including Annexes A, C, I, as Chapter 15.28 of Title 15 of this code, except such portions as are deleted, modified, or amended as set forth in this chapter Said code is adopted and incorporated as if fully set forth herein.
B. 
The purpose of the code is to prescribe regulations for the installation, arrangement, alteration, repair, use and other operation of electrical wiring, connections, fixtures and other electrical appliances on premises within the city.

Article 89 of the 2022 California Electrical Code is hereby deleted and replaced by the following:
