The Zoning Officer or his designated representative shall have the power to institute any proceedings at law or in equity necessary for the enforcement of this Chapter.

If it appears that a violation of this Chapter has occurred, the Zoning Officer shall initiate enforcement proceedings by sending an enforcement notice to the owner of record of the parcel on which the violation has occurred. Such notice shall direct the abatement of said violation.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this Part, upon conviction thereof in an action brought before a magisterial district judge in the manner provided for the enforcement of summary offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 90 days. Each day that a violation of this Part continues or each Section of this Part which shall be found to have been violated shall constitute a separate offense.

Any decision of the Borough Council of Yardley under this Chapter granting or denying a certificate of appropriateness shall be subject to review and appeal to the Court of Common Pleas of Bucks County in the same manner and within the same time limitation as is provided for zoning appeals by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act of July 31, 1968, P.L. 805, as amended, 53 P.S. §11001-A et seq.
