The City of Warrenton Park Advisory Board is hereby established.

The Park Advisory Board shall be composed of a minimum of five members. An individual living within the Warrenton School District boundaries shall be eligible to serve on the Warrenton Park Advisory Board.
A. 
Terms. Initial appointments are for two positions for one year, two positions for two years, and the remaining position(s) for three years. Thereafter the terms for all members shall be for three years expiring on December 31st.
B. 
Vacancies. All vacancies shall be filled by appointment by the City Commission.
C. 
Quorum. The quorum of the Board shall be four members.

A. 
Officers. Upon appointment by the City Commission, members shall meet to elect a chairperson and vice-chairperson for the Advisory Board.
B. 
Process. The chair shall receive matters referred by the City Commission. The chairperson shall report the Board's findings or recommendations to the City Commission which shall use the recommendations as it sees fit.
C. 
Meetings. The Park Advisory Board shall hold regular monthly meetings as necessary to address matters directed to it by the City Commission.
D. 
Examples of Duties. The Park Advisory Board shall work closely with the Warrenton Trails' Association and Warrenton Kids Inc., and will develop a comprehensive park master plan. In addition, the Park Advisory Board shall advise the City Commission regarding any matter relating to City parks as referred to it by the Commission. These matters include, but are not limited to:
1. 
Amendments to City ordinances referencing general park activities;
2. 
General policies concerning the selection, care and removal of park assets;
3. 
Funding for the purchase and development of City parks;
4. 
Recommendations to the Quincy and Bessie Robinson Trust Board for funding for parks.
