City of Pelican, AK Chapter 1.01 CODE ADOPTION

§ 1.01.010 Purpose.

We, the elected officials of the city of Pelican, Alaska, mindful of the responsibilities for the welfare of our community which we hold as the city council incorporated under the constitution and laws of the State of Alaska, and in order to provide local government of service to our people to meet their needs, do establish this ordinance to be the Code of Ordinances for the city of Pelican.

§ 1.01.020 Prior ordinances superseded.

This code supersedes any and all ordinances adopted prior to this code and not included within this code at the time of this code's adoption.

§ 1.01.030 Severability.

If any provision of this code or ordinances codified in this code are held invalid, the remainder of this code or ordinances codified in this code shall not be affected thereby.

§ 1.01.040 Titles and chapters adopted.

The titles and chapters in this code constitute the code of ordinances for the city of Pelican.
