(a) 
No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in any of the following places:
(1) 
Within any tunnel or upon any bridge, viaduct, or approach thereto;
(2) 
Within any parkway;
(3) 
In any intersection;
(4) 
In any crosswalk;
(5) 
In any place where the standing of a vehicle will interfere with a funeral; provided, however, the space along such curb where the funeral is to occur shall be properly marked by signs not less than four (4′) feet above the curb; such signs shall be placed two hours prior to any funeral; such signs shall be inscribed on the front thereof in white letters of a size to be easily read by a person using the highway with the words "No parking between these signs. Funeral. Section 4-7.1401, Huntington Park Municipal Code"; and such signs shall be removed immediately after the funeral by the funeral director; and
(6) 
Within fifty (50′) feet of any street intersection, if the total width of such vehicle exceeds eighty-four (84″) inches, except while such vehicle is actually being loaded or unloaded or while such vehicle is being used in the performance of a service.
(b) 
No vehicle shall be parked, stopped, nor shall stand either wholly or partially in front of any driveway apron or in any manner which shall obstruct or interfere with the free movement of vehicles in such driveway or in any manner so as to obstruct or otherwise prevent or interfere with ingress to or egress from any driveway.
For purposes of this section, "driveway apron" shall be that portion of a curb, parkway or sidewalk which has been depressed below the level of the adjoining curb, parkway or sidewalk for the purpose of providing vehicular access from the street across said curb, parkway or sidewalk to the property fronting thereon or abutting thereto.

The Traffic Authority shall appropriately sign or mark the following places, and when so signed or marked, no person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in any of such places:
(a) 
At any place between a safety zone and the nearest curb and any place within twenty (20′) feet of a point on the curb immediately opposite the mid-block end of a safety zone;
(b) 
At any place within thirty (30′) feet of an intersecting roadway in the business district; provided, however, a bus may stop at a designated bus stop; and
(c) 
At any place on State Street within 260 feet of the nearest extension of the curb line of Gage Avenue.

The Traffic Authority may appropriately sign or mark the following places, and when so signed or marked no person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in any of such places:
(a) 
At any place within thirty (30′) feet of an intersection other than as set forth in this article; and
(b) 
Within twenty-five (25′') feet of the approach to the nearest line of a crosswalk.

The Traffic Authority is hereby authorized, subject to the provisions and limitations of this chapter, to place, and when required by the provisions of this chapter shall place, the following curb markings to indicate parking or standing regulations, and such curb markings shall have the meanings as follows:
(a) 
Red shall mean no stopping, standing, or parking at any time; provided, however, a bus may stop in a red zone marked or signed as a bus zone.
(b) 
Yellow shall mean no stopping, standing, or parking at any time between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day except Sundays and holidays for any purpose other than the loading or unloading of passengers or materials provided the loading or unloading of passengers shall not consume more than three minutes nor the loading or unloading of materials more than 20 minutes.
(c) 
White shall mean no stopping, standing, or parking for any purpose other than the loading or unloading of passengers which shall not exceed three minutes, and such restrictions shall apply between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day except Sundays and holidays and except as follows:
(1) 
When such zone is in front of a hotel or apartment house, the restrictions shall apply at all times.
(2) 
When such zone is in front of a theater, hall, church, or other place of assembly, the restrictions shall apply at all times except when such theater, hall, church, or other place of assembly is closed.
(d) 
Green shall mean no standing or parking for longer than 20 minutes at any time between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day except Sundays and holidays.
When the Traffic Authority has caused curb markings to be placed pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, no person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle adjacent to any such legible curb marking in violation of any of the provisions of this section.

(a) 
Application. The provisions of this chapter prohibiting the stopping, standing, or parking of a vehicle shall apply at all times or at those times specified in this article except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.
(b) 
Effect. The provisions of this chapter imposing a time limit on standing or parking shall not relieve any person from the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions of this chapter or of any law prohibiting or limiting the standing or parking of vehicles in specified places or at specified times.
