The Township has determined and there is hereby fixed and imposed upon and shall be collected from the owner of each property served by the East Lampeter Township Sewer System and having the use thereof, whether direct or indirect, quarterly sewer rents or charges in accordance with the following schedule:

For customers and uses not classified above, the rental charge shall be assessed based upon the customer classification above most similar in kind to that not identified.

The quarterly sewer rentals or charges imposed by this resolution shall be effective January 1, 2026, and remain in effect until amended or repealed by further resolution or ordinance of the Township of East Lampeter.

The Township shall give 30 days' notice that the assessments are due and payable. This notice shall be mailed to the owner, occupant, or tenant of the property and shall state the due date. Unpaid balances remaining 30 days after the billing date will receive a penalty charge of 5%. An additional interest rate of 1% will be added to the unpaid balance 30 days after the billing date and each month thereafter. All unpaid assessments for residential properties that are delinquent for four or more quarters shall be turned over to the Township Solicitor for collection and the filing of municipal lien claims. All unpaid assessments for commercial or industrial properties that are delinquent for two or more quarters shall be turned over to the Township Solicitor for collection and the filing of municipal lien claims. The Township Manager and/or Assistant Township Manager are hereby authorized to enter into payment plan agreements on behalf of the Township and to establish such other rules and regulations as necessary pertaining to the collection of delinquent accounts.
Any resolution or ordinance, or part thereof, which is inconsistent with this resolution is hereby declared to be repealed. All other rules, regulations and provisions regarding the use of the East Lampeter Township Sewer System heretofore adopted either by resolution or ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
