The purpose of the public-semipublic (P-SP) district is to provide space within the community for public uses, schools, religious institutions, hospitals, and similar uses that promote a suitable environment for community services and are not detrimental to surrounding land uses. Public-semipublic uses, particularly those of a smaller scale, are also permitted or conditionally permitted in other zoning districts and planned developments.
