Registration of pets (non-breeders) - Annual fees:

All subsequent years: $5.00 if spayed/neutered (S/N) or $15.00.

All subsequent years: $2.00 if S/N or $10.00.

All other animals excluding farm animals:

First year $2.00.

All subsequent years: $5.00 if S/N or $15.00.

No additional fees.

Registration of guard dogs - Annual fees:

First year: $15.00.

All subsequent years: $25.00.

Over 65: One free animal if S/N.

The impound fees shall be set based on the entity used to impound the animals or an escalating schedule set by the city council by recommendation of the animal welfare advisory board. Each time the same animal is impounded, the impound fee increases.
(1) 
First (1st) impoundment:
Warning plus cost of impoundment except if animal has caused physical harm which will result in automatic citation.
(2) 
Second (2nd) impoundment:
Forty dollars ($40.00) plus the cost of impoundment.
(3) 
Third (3rd) impoundment:
Ninety dollars ($90.00) plus the cost of impoundment.

(a) 
If the animal is picked up from the city within 7 days, the fee is $40.00. After 7 days, the animal will be taken to the Bell County shelter.
(b) 
If the animal is picked up at Bell County after 7 days, the fee is $100.00.
