No unauthorized person shall uncover,
make any connections with or opening into, use, alter or disturb any
public sewer or appurtenance thereof without first obtaining a written
permit from the Town.
The Town shall establish connection
permit forms, fees and standards which may be amended from time to
time by resolution of the Town. The owner shall apply on a form furnished
by the Town. The application shall be supplemented by any plans, specifications
or other information considered pertinent in the judgment of the Town.
The owner shall notify the Superintendent
prior to construction of the building sewer and its connection to
the public sewer. This work shall be subject to inspection and approval
by the Superintendent. Approval of this work shall in no way relieve
the owner of any responsibilities for workmanship, materials, or any
other liabilities.
All excavations required to install
a building sewer shall be adequately guarded by the owner to protect
the public from hazard.
