The Pittston City Home Rule Charter Article XIII, Administrative Code, § C13.02, Provisions, Subsection C, requires that the Transition Committee propose an Administrative Code that includes a personnel policy for the City government consistent with the provisions, spirit, and purpose of the Charter.
Due to
changes in laws and policies as well as a need to make an overall
update to the Employee Manual, the City Administrator and the Director
of Human Resources prepared the attached Personnel Policy[1] and recommend its adoption.
The City
Council of the City of Pittston resolves that the Employee Manual
adopted on September 11, 2013, is hereby repealed and the Personnel
Policy is hereby adopted and shall be effective immediately.
