Every officer, except the Mayor, who must qualify before the Circuit Court or Clerk, before entering upon the duties of his office, shall make oath or affirmation that he will well and truly discharge the duties of the office to the best of his ability and judgment. The oath or affirmation shall be deposited with the Clerk of the Council.
The bonds required of all officers of the Town shall be payable to the Town, with surety approved by the Town Council. The Town shall pay the premiums on all corporate surety bonds.
