There is hereby created a Plan Commission to consist of seven members who shall be appointed by the President by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. Members shall be appointed for staggered terms of one to seven years, respectively, and shall serve until their successors are appointed and qualified. They shall serve without compensation.
The Village Plan Commission shall be charged with the duty of establishing a plan for the orderly growth of the Village, for the promotion of industrial development, for the consideration of the establishment of zoning regulations adjacent to the Village of Dwight and for other duties ordinarily performed by a Plan Commission.
The Plan Commission shall elect one of its members to serve as President and the Deputy Clerk shall serve as Secretary.
