The office of Lead Traffic Maintainer in and for the Borough of Paramus is hereby created, subject to the provisions of this chapter.

The Lead Traffic Maintainer shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
Under direction of the Chief of Police or his or her designee, directs other traffic maintenance employees in the performance of their duties, as well as performs varied tasks involved in painting traffic and crosswalk lines and/or assists in the assembly, installation, removal and maintenance of traffic, control devices, automatic traffic recording (ATR) devices, signs and other traffic related equipment; does other related duties.
The Lead Traffic Maintainer shall receive such compensation as shall be fixed, from time to time, by the general salary ordinance of the Borough of Paramus.
