The purpose of this article is to create the administrative mechanisms needed for the execution of the Borough of Wood-Ridge's responsibility to assist in the provision of affordable housing pursuant to the Fair Housing Act of 1985 and its subsequent amendments.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
ADMINISTRATIVE AGENT
The person or entity appointed or contracted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Wood-Ridge who shall be responsible for administering the affordability controls of some or all units in the Affordable Housing Program for the Borough of Wood-Ridge to ensure that the restricted units under administration are affirmatively marketed and sold or rented, as applicable, only to households that meet the applicable eligibility criteria.
MUNICIPAL HOUSING LIAISON
The employee charged by the governing body with the responsibility for oversight and administration of the Affordable Housing Program for the Borough of Wood-Ridge.
A. 
Establishment of position of Municipal Housing Liaison. There is hereby established the position of Municipal Housing Liaison for the Borough of Wood-Ridge.
B. 
The Municipal Housing Liaison shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough Council, be a full-time or part-time employee of the Borough reporting to the Borough Administrator, receive such compensation as established by the annual salary ordinance, and be subject to all rules and policies of the Employee Handbook.
C. 
The Municipal Housing Liaison shall:
(1) 
Be responsible for oversight and administration of the Affordable Housing Program for the Borough of Wood-Ridge.
(2) 
Possess all powers and authorities as provided for by the laws and regulations of the State of New Jersey.
(3) 
Perform all duties as required by the laws and regulations of the State of New Jersey.
(4) 
Monitor any and all administrative agents within the Borough's jurisdiction.
(5) 
Be assisted in performing their duties by other employees and professionals of the Borough as directed by the Borough Administrator.
