Salaries and wages shall be paid to all City officers, clerks and employees entitled thereto, only during the time such officers, clerks and employees are in office or in the employment of the City.

The public employees faithful performance blanket position bond in the amount of $50,000 shall indemnify the City against any loss caused to the City through the failure of any officer or employee of the City to perform faithfully his duties or to account properly for moneys and properties received by virtue of his position or employment, except those officers and employees which are covered by a specific bond.
