Whenever any person gives information to the City, its officers or agents resulting in the conviction of any person in any court for giving false fire alarms or for defacing, damaging or destroying any City property, Council is authorized by resolution to reward such person for giving such information in an amount not to exceed $100.
No person shall report a false fire alarm or interfere with or damage the fire alarm system or any of the property, appurtenances or things belonging to and used in connection with such system in any of its parts, or in any place.

Any person violating any provision of this article shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding, be fined not more than $1,000 and costs and, in default of payment thereof, shall be imprisoned not more than 90 days.
