The mission of the Village of Blanchardville: The Village government of Blanchardville exists to provide public services in an economical, efficient manner which creates the high quality of life we wish to provide for our friends and families into the future.

The goals of the Village of Blanchardville:
A.
Our natural setting. All of us are the inheritors of a natural environment rich in scenic and life-sustaining features. The Village shall care for these resources with knowledge-based stewardship aimed at leaving our Village's setting in better condition than we came to it.
B.
Our heritage. Many peoples from different nations joined the original inhabitants of our community to create a community which draws on all their experiences and strengths. We have received an immense body of knowledge of all kinds from our ancestors. The Village shall work in cooperation with our schools and community groups to educate our children in that heritage and knowledge to prepare ourselves for the challenges ahead.
C.
Our safety. Government's first duty is to provide the public with protection from those who would disturb the public peace, harm the vulnerable, or disturb property. Blanchardville continues to provide public safety personnel and resources to make our best efforts to keep our friends and families from harm's way.
D.
Our health. Medical care has brought enormous advances which offer the chance to lengthen and improve our lives. The Village shall work to promote health in the community and enhance the availability of medical care when illness does occur.
E.
Our homes. We live in private homes which are served by public services such as water, streets and parks. The Village shall support the housing stock of the community with quality infrastructure that carries our people forward to a more prosperous future.
F.
Our economy. Our community confronts change as events and trends from the weather, federal and state mandates, pandemics, and more present challenges to doing business. The Village shall execute its responsibilities and pursue all of these goals with an overriding zealousness to respect the limits of taxpayers' capacity to pay and to maximize the efficient and proper use of all public resources. Professional partners, staff, and volunteers shall continue to be engaged to ensure our community accesses funding to help us safeguard our economic position.
We, the people of the Village of Blanchardville, undertake to pursue this mission for the betterment of our children, family, friends and nation.
