The International Fire Code, 2018 Edition, including all appendices, as amended, one copy of which is on file in the office of the Code Official and the Township of Wrightstown, being marked and designated as the International Fire Code, as published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of Wrightstown Township for regulating and governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises in the Township of Wrightstown except for one- and two-family dwellings and providing for the issuance of permits for hazardous uses or operations; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such International Fire Code, 2018 Edition, published by the International Code Council on file in the office of the Code Official are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Part, with the following amendments and additions.

The following sections are hereby revised as follows:
1. 
Section 101.1 is amended to insert "Township of Wrightstown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania."
2. 
Section 102.5 is deleted in its entirety.
3. 
Section 109.4 is added as follows:
109.4 Other Circumstances. Should the Township opt not to create a Fire Code Board of Appeals, the first level of appeal shall be to the Fire Inspector. Any appeal of the decision of the Fire Inspector shall be to the Wrightstown Township Building Code Board of Appeals. All appeals beyond the Building Code Board of Appeals shall be to the Court of Common Pleas of Bucks County.

Section 110.4 is amended to read as follows:
110.4 Violation Penalties. Persons who shall violate a provision of this Code or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, install, alter, repair or do any work in violation of the approved construction documents or directive of the Code Official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this Code, shall be guilty of a summary offense, punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000 or by imprisonment not exceeding 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
5. 
Section 112.4 is amended to read as follows:
112.4 Failure to Comply. Any person who shall continue any work after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be liable to a fine of not less than $25 or more than $1,000.

Section 1103.5.3 is amended to read as follows:
1103.5.3 Group I-2, Condition 2. In addition to the requirements of Section 1103.5.2, existing buildings of Group I-2, Condition 2 occupancy shall be equipped throughout with an approved automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1. The automatic sprinkler system shall be installed within 90 days.
7. 
The geographical limits referred to in certain sections of the Fire Code of Wrightstown Township are hereby established as follows:
A. 
Section 5704.2.9.6.1 Locations Where Above-Ground Tanks Are Prohibited. Storage of Class I and II liquids in above-ground tanks outside of buildings shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the National Fire Protection Association Codes, Standards, and Guides, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, and regulations.
B. 
Section 5706.2.4.4 Locations Where Above-Ground Tanks Are Prohibited. Storage of Class I and II liquids in above-ground tanks shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the National Fire Protection Association Codes, Standards, and Guides, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, and regulations.
C. 
Section 5806.2 Limitations. Limits for the storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the National Fire Protection Association Codes, Standards, and Guides, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, and regulations.
D. 
Section 6104.2 Maximum Capacity Within Established Limits. Limits for the storage of liquefied petroleum gas in heavily populated or congested areas shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the National Fire Protection Association Codes, Standards, and Guides, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, and regulations.

Pursuant to the 2018 International Fire Code, § 107 Inspections, all of the following uses, as identified within the 2018 International Building Code, Chapter 3 - Occupancy Classification and Use, within Wrightstown Township, shall be inspected by the Fire Code Official or other appointed individuals on an annual basis.

Fees for the annual inspection program shall be established from time to time by the Board of Supervisors.
