The following terms shall have the meanings ascribed unless a contrary meaning is expressly set forth in the text.
AMPLIFIED SOUND
Speech, music or other sound projected or transmitted by sound amplifying equipment, including, but not limited to, amplifiers, loudspeakers, microphones, bull horns or similar devices or combinations of devices which are intended to increase the volume, range, distance or intensity of speech, music or other sound and are powered by electricity or other sources of energy.

The legal property line.
SOUND
An oscillation in pressure, particle displacement, particle velocity or other physical parameter in a medium with internal forces that causes compression and rarefaction of that medium.

No person shall operate, play or permit the operation or playing of any radio, tape player, television set, musical instrument, electronic amplification equipment and similar devices which produces, reproduces or amplifies sound at any time of the day or night in a manner that creates annoyance or discomfort beyond the boundaries of such property which disturbs a reasonable person of normal sensitivities, taking into consideration the location of the use or condition and the nature and condition of the surrounding neighborhood.

Any individual who files a complaint regarding a violation of this Part must cooperate with the Township and the Newtown Township Police Department in prosecuting said violation, including but not limited to, testifying in court regarding the same.

1. 
Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of this Part shall be fined not less than $750 for the first offense, and not less than $1,000 for any subsequent offenses and, upon failure to pay such fine, shall be sentenced to jail for a term not to exceed 30 days for each offense.
2. 
A penalty provided for under this Part may be imposed in addition to any penalty that may be imposed for any other criminal offense arising from the same conduct.
3. 
A separate and distinct offense shall be committed each day that a violation of the terms of this Part continues to exist.
