Chapter 11.28: TRUCK TRAVEL—PROHIBITED

§ 11.28.010 Heavy truck defined.

A "heavy truck" as referred to in this chapter means any motor vehicle having a gross weight greater than twenty thousand pounds or more.

§ 11.28.020 Passage on certain streets.

Passage of heavy trucks on the following streets is prohibited; provided, however, that local delivery service to any resident of the described streets is permitted:

Pearl Street from Chestnut Street to the southerly terminus of Pearl Street;

Tower Street from Chestnut Street to Floral Avenue;

Sprague Street from Byrd Street to Seminary Hill Road.

§ 11.28.025 Truck routes designated.

The following streets are designated as truck routes within the city of Centralia:

Harrison Avenue from west city limits to Main Street;

Main Street from Harrison Avenue to Tower Avenue;

First Street from Harrison Avenue to North Tower Avenue (refer to CMC § 11.30.070(A));

Downing Road from east city limits to Pearl Street and continuing southerly on Pearl Street to Chestnut Street;

Tower Avenue from Sixth Street to Chestnut Street;

Gold Street from Summa Street to south city limits;

Summa Street from east city limits to Gold Street;

Yew Street from Main Street to Mellen Street;

Mellen Street from I-5 to Alder Street continuing on Alder Street to Cherry Street and continuing on Cherry Street to South Tower Avenue;

Johnson Road from Harrison Avenue to Reynolds Avenue;

Floral Street from Tower Avenue to Gold Street;

Sixth Street from Pearl Street east to Marion Street;

B Street from Sixth Street to Kearny Street;

Kearny Street from B Street to Central Boulevard;

Central Boulevard from Kearny Street to north city limits;

Marion Street from Sixth Street to east city limits;

North Bound Overpass from Summa Street to Tower Avenue;

South Bound Overpass from Chestnut Street to Summa Street;

Kresky Avenue from Summa Street to south city limits;

Exhibitor Street from Gold Street to east city limits;

Reynolds Road from Harrison Avenue to east city limits;

4th Street west from Pearl Street to F Street;

F Street north from 4th Street to 5th Street.

§ 11.28.030 Penalty for violation.

Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction.
