The clerk, treasurer and marshal shall, before entering upon their respective duties, furnish and execute a bond conditioned for the faithful performance of their duties, including the duties of all offices of which they are made ex officio incumbents.

The town shall hereafter procure insurance with minimum policy limits of $1,000,000 to protect and hold personally harmless its officials, employees and agents from any action, claim, or proceeding instituted against any of said individuals arising out of the performance, purported performance, or failure of performance, in good faith of duties for, or employment with, the town of Coulee Dam.

The town of Coulee Dam shall indemnify and hold harmless these individuals from any expenses connected with the defense, settlement, or monetary judgments from such actions, claims, or proceedings.
