The lighting or smoking of any cigarette, cigar, pipe or other device containing tobacco or similar substance in any county truck or truck tractor except for county trucks and other vehicles while used to plow snow, is prohibited. State law prohibits the smoking of tobacco products in all county enclosed places of employment, including other county vehicles.

To aid in the public's awareness of the ordinance codified in this chapter, but not as a necessary condition of its enforcement or validity, signs may be posted around said entrances, exits, covered entryways, open windows and ventilation system intakes stating that smoking in the area is prohibited.

The violation of this chapter shall be an infraction which shall be punishable by the payment of a fine not to exceed fifty dollars.
