The following words or phrases, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:
ACCESSORY STRUCTURE
A subordinate structure detached from the principal structure but located on the same lot as the principal structure, the use of which is incidental and accessory to that of the principal structure.
ACCESSORY USE
A use incidental to and on the same lot as a principal use.
STORAGE CONTAINERS
Standard reusable vessels that are:
1. 
Designed for or used in the packing, shipping, movement or transportation of freight, articles, goods or commodities; and/or
2. 
Designed for, or capable of, being mounted or moved by rail, truck or ship by means of being mounted on a chassis or similar transport device. This definition includes the terms: "transport containers," "portable storage containers," "construction trailers" and "travel trailers."
TOWNSHIP
The Township of Sugarloaf, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

Cargo containers, construction trailers, travel trailers, railroad cars, truck vans, converted mobile homes, recreational vehicles, bus bodies, vehicles and similar prefabricated items and structures are not permitted to be used as accessory structures on property zoned residential or on property in which the primary use is residential.
2. 
Notwithstanding the provisions set forth in Subsection 1, the temporary placement of storage containers on residentially zoned properties or on properties the primary use of which is residential, for the limited purpose of loading and unloading household contents, shall be permitted for a period of time not exceeding 30 days in any one calendar year. A licensed and bonded contractor may use storage containers as a temporary office and/or material storage during construction which is taking place on the property which it is located, pursuant to a Township zoning permit.

Any person, business entity, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, joint venture or other entity who or which violates any provision of this Part shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $500 plus costs and attorney's fees. Each day a violation occurs shall count as a separate offense for the purposes of this Part.
2. 
These fine amounts may be amended by resolution by the Township Supervisors from time to time.
3. 
This Part may be enforced by any duly authorized agent of the Township, including the Township Police, Zoning Officer or Code Enforcement Official.
