The city clerk/treasurer is authorized to invest inactive funds or other funds in excess of current needs in interest bearing savings accounts or time certificates of deposit at the Yelm branches of Evergreen Savings Association of the Bank of Olympia, or in such other investments as are authorized by RCW 35.39.030 and 35.39.034.

The city clerk/treasurer is authorized to convert any of its investment securities evidencing the investment of such inactive or excess funds, or any part thereof, into cash to meet current needs of the city as required.
