City of Edgewood, WA Chapter 2.55 PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM

§ 2.55.010 Participation.

The city authorizes and approves participation and membership of its eligible employees and appointive and elected officials in the Washington Public Employees' Retirement System pursuant to RCW 41.40.062, and authorizes the expenditure of the necessary funds to cover its proportionate share for such participation in the system.

§ 2.55.020 Mayor – Execution of contract with the Association of Washington Cities.

The mayor is authorized to execute contracts with the Association of Washington Cities and its related agencies and trusts to provide medical, dental, vision, long term disability insurance and other benefits to city employees.

§ 2.55.030 Expenditure of city funds to provide for an employee benefits package.

The mayor is authorized to expend such funds, not to exceed the amount established by the city council in the annual budget, to carry out EMC § 2.55.020.
